Curriculum Vitae

Barbara Bradač Hojnik is an assistant professor of entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor, and takes part in business economics and entrepreneurship teaching at the Faculty. She participated in the national programme “Young researchers” sponsored by Slovenian Research Agency. In her doctoral study, she researched outsourcing in Slovenian small and medium-sized enterprises. She obtained additional education at the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management, Belgium, in the area of entrepreneurship, innovation and finance. Her research focuses primarily on entrepreneurship in general, corporate entrepreneurship, innovation, social entrepreneurship, cooperation among companies, outsourcing, sustainable entrepreneurship and SMEs.

In the last years she participates in several national and international research projects at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. She is a member of Slovenian Entrepreneurship Observatory research team, of GEM team and of the research programme Entrepreneurship for Innovative Society.

In the last six years she was included in several international research projects: Promoting craft and SMEs in the area of European standardisation, Employment Initiatives for an Ageing Workforce, Practices and policies in the social enterprise sector, Large enterprises in Europe, Skill shortages in regional SMEs, Cluster policy mapping, Local Employment Development and Corporate Social Responsibility, Accommodation for persons with disabilities, International Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, etc. She has authored or co-authored several scientific articles, book chapters and papers.

As a member of the organizing committee, she participates in the organisation of international conferences PODIM.
