Curriculum Vitae

Miroslav Rebernik, Ph.D., is a professor of business economics and entrepreneurship. He was a visiting professor at the Portland State University and a Fulbright research scholar at Babson College. He has participated at more than 60 national and international professional and scientific conferences and has authored numerous books and chapters in a number of monographs published in Slovenia and abroad. Apart from that, he has chaired many national and international conferences as well as edited conference proceedings. He also chairs the programme committee of PODIM, The International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, (www.podim.org) and acts as the president of ‘Tovarna podjemov’, the University incubator (www.tovarnapodjemov.org). He is a member of the European Commission Policy-relevant research on entrepreneurship and SMEs expert group, a member of the Social Sciences Council at Slovenian Research Agency , the Country Vice-president for Slovenia at the European Council for Small Business and the chair of the professional committee selecting the “Slovenian start-up of the year 2008”. He is also a member of editorial boards of Naše Gospodarstvo, Business & Economics Review, Journal of Small Business Management and International Journal of Opportunity, Growth and Value Creation. He is the project leader of the research programme Entrepreneurship for Innovative Society and the head of the research team Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Slovenia and Slovenian Entrepreneurship Observatory.
